All in the Mind and memory survey

Since March 2025, I have been employed as a Research Associate at the University of Cambridge on an exciting project entitled ‘When Memories Come Alive’. Bringing together humanities scholars and cognitive scientists, the project seeks to explore the subjective experience of remembering.

In October 2025, project team member Kasia Mojescik and I joined Claudia Hammond on BBC Radio 4’s ‘All in the Mind’ to chat about vivid memories. The episode is available here – do have a listen to learn more about the project’s aims.

We are also asking as many people as possible to fill out our survey. The survey asks about your definition and experience of vivid memories, and will form the backbone of some of our research outputs. If you are able to complete it we would be most grateful!
